Terms of Sale and Licence

1. Buying

• Price: US$49, one-off. It may be shown in your local currency. Includes any sales tax, VAT or GST.
• Payment is processed by Link (Stripe), which collects the tax and sends your receipt. Link's terms (link.com/terms) apply to the payment.
• Your licence key is emailed to you after payment.

2. Free trial

One full sync run free on each computer. After that a licence is required.

3. Your licence

• We give you a limited, non-exclusive licence to use Time Code Zero on up to 2 devices (Mac or Windows, any mix). You can deactivate a device to move the licence.
• Activation needs an internet connection once. The app re-checks the licence now and then when online.
• We may switch off a licence that is refunded, charged back, obtained by fraud or used on more than 2 devices.
• You may not copy the app (except backup copies the law allows), or distribute, sell, resell, sublicense, rent, lend or lease it, or share your licence key.
• You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, or try to discover its source code or the file formats it reads, except where the law allows.
• We and our suppliers own the app and all rights in it. You only get the licence above.
• Our suppliers (the makers of components built into the app) give no warranties about the app and aren't liable to you for any loss or damage arising from it.
• If you need other software from one of our suppliers to use the app, you must get it under its own licence and follow that licence's terms.
• Open-source components in the app are covered by their own licences (shown in the app).
• Camera format names are trademarks of their owners. Time Code Zero is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
• Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

4. Refunds

• No refunds for change of mind.
• Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If the app has a major failure, you can choose a refund.
• Buyers outside Australia keep any rights their local law gives them.
• To ask for a refund, email support@timecodezero.app.

5. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect loss or lost data, and our total liability is limited to the price you paid. This doesn't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
